What is a DTS?
Discipleship Training School (DTS) consists of two parts - Lecture Phase and Outreach Phase. We bring teachers from all over the world to share what it means to be a disciple of Christ, then go to the nations and put everything into practice!
Our greatest desire is that you will experience the love of God in such a way that you will never be the same again.
LECTURE
Oct - Feb
The first few months of the school include a variety of teaching weeks where we invite teachers from all over the world. All of our teachings are focused on taking you deeper in knowing God and equipping you to make Him known. We also travel Norway and Iceland during Lecture Phase, discovering God's creation as we discover His character.
OUTREACH
February - April
Time to put everything we've learning into practice! We spend about 8 weeks in the nations, on a mission to fulfill the Great Commission and to see God's kingdom come.
This will not be the regular tourist experience, but a unique opportunity to go to places most people don’t go to, meet the local people, and experience things that only a few others get the chance to!
But why?
We go on outreach to show God’s love to people through words and action.
We have the simple belief that God can use anyone, experienced or inexperienced, to show His heart and be His hands to anyone who needs Him. Our experience is also that in giving we also receive, and in going we keep on growing.

ICELAND
“A few years ago I went to Iceland. One late evening we went on a hike in the majestic mountain areas and ended up in one of the many hot springs at the top. The sky was filled with stars and spontaneously we started singing “How Great is our God”, as we were so in awe of God’s amazing creation. It was one of the most epic experiences ever!”

This could be your experience too! On Explore DTS we will go to Iceland during Lecture Phase to enjoy the beautiful nature, meet wonderful people, get teaching and practice what we learn.
Incredible lakes, lagoons, waterfalls, glaciers & hot pools are just some of the things Iceland has to offer. We will experience some of that. And maybe we get to see the Northern lights!
BALKANS
The last 2 years our base has led mission trips to Montenegro. With almost 100 Norwegian youth, we shared the love of Jesus through mercy ministry, playing sports, discipling, arranging various events and much more! This year we will be going to Serbia and are so excited to see what God will do.
We have a big heart for the Balkans and want to continue to invest in the relationships we made there. We will continue to arrange mission trips to this beautiful area and YOU get to join! This is a unique opportunity to share Jesus and use your giftings to make a difference! You also have the opportunity to just join this trip if you don't want to do the full DTS.
SKI TRIP
Before Norwegians can walk, they know how to cross country ski! Experience the culture of this beautiful place you get to live for 3 months by going on a ski trip with your class.
If you're an experienced skier – you will have fun. If you have never done it before – then you will also have fun. Challenges come on your own level :-)
TRACKS
Spend time each week getting to dive deeper into a subject that interests you! Our school also has "Track Weeks" where we get to spend the whole week in the track you choose. These are the current tracks we have planned for next year, with more coming and subject to change! :)

* Last years price. Included in the price: All accommodation, food, and travel during the lecture phase and outreach phase, including travels to and from the Balkans, Iceland, and the outreach location.
Not included: Optional internship after DTS, potential costs for necessary vaccines and visa for outreach. This amount can be anywhere between 0 and 7000 NOK, depending on the outreach location and which vaccines you already have. You need your own travel insurance. Flights to and from Norway at the beginning and the end of DTS are not included. We also recommend that you have spare money to use during DTS.
